Do you have a complaint?
Sometimes disagreements occur and we all have a right for these matters to be addressed. Firstly approach your Coach or Manager about the problem. If this is unresolved, you may then contact your appropriate Age Co-Ordinator. The next level of complaint then comes to the Executive Committee. Please remember to approach these matters of complaint with respect and an open mind for all members involved.
Game Notification
Teams will be notified of the first 3 rounds of competition prior to the start of the season. Some teams may then be regraded and therefore the draw will need to be rescheduled.
Field and General Maintenance
Playing fields are generally marked prior to the weekend matches. If you are the first and last team on the field at home games you are required to erect and pack away the nets, corner posts and linespersons flags. A general clean up of the surrounding areas would be greatly appreciated. Please ask your Coach or Manager how you can be of assistance.
Members are reminded not to park their cars in front of the emergency vehicles access gate to all ovals. Risk Management is everyone’s responsibility. If you find any safety issues please report them to our Club Safety Officer.
Coerver Clinics and Academy
A Blue Mountains Coerver Academy has been operating at Gloria Park for the past 6 years. This academy aims to improve the individual skill levels of elite players within the Blue Mountains area. Camps are run periodically throughout the year normally during the Easter holidays and July school holidays. Information is available at the Clubhouse and is also published in the Club’s newsletter.
The Canteen
Each team is rostered on Canteen Duty for one or two days, equating to one to two hours per family per season. ALL PARENTS FROM EACH TEAM ARE EXPECTED TO DO THEIR FAIR SHARE OF CANTEEN DUTY.
It is not the responsibility of the Coach or Manager, or the same couple of parents, to cover the roster each time it is your team’s turn. Everyone should help out!
Minutes of Meetings and Financial Reports
Minutes of meetings are available for viewing by all financial members of the Club at any time. Please contact the Secretary.
Sponsorship
The Club’s finances are greatly dependant on donations from prominent local businesses. These sponsorships greatly help the Club buy equipment for the players as well as contributing to the improvement of the Club’s facilities and on going expenses. If you are contemplating becoming a sponsor or know of anyone who would like more information please notify our Sponsorship Director.
Safety
Jewellery consists of what you can see ie, earrings, studs, tongue studs, belly button stud, chain, wedding rings etc, cannot be worn during a game or training. A player must not use equipment or wear anything that is dangerous to themselves or other players.
A player who insists that jewellery cannot be removed will be advised that they can take no part in the game. Taping is not acceptable.
Trial Games
Trial games are organised with other Clubs prior to the official season beginning. Your Coach or Manager will inform you of these games, dates and venues.
Night Games
Hazelbrook Soccer Club Management Committee encourage night games being held at Gloria Park throughout the season. Players, spectators, parents and families are invited to support these games.
Insurance
All players are covered by Insurance through NSW Soccer Federation. The fee is incorporated in your Registration Fee. Please refer to your Accident Support Program pamphlet for information regarding your insurance policy and claims. Senior Players may need to get extra cover i.e. Income Protection etc. Please read the pamphlet carefully. Please fill in the Medical History form if you have a medical condition you feel the Club and/or Coach should be made aware of.
Registration Fees
A late registration fee of $10.00 per registration shall be imposed to players who do not register on the advertised Registration and Muster Days.
Part Payments
The Management Committee may grant special consideration for an extension of payment to players with genuine financial difficulties.
Part payments must leave at least 25% of fees as a deposit on registration days. All payments should be completed by the beginning of the competition season. Unfinancial players who have not been given special consideration shall have their Registration Cards withheld until full payment is receipted.
Trophies
All players receive a commemorative memento at the Club’s Presentation Day at the end of the season. Each team, Under 9 and above is also awarded up to three trophies at the end of the season, e.g. Most Improved, Most Consistent etc. Although the Club cannot physically stop anyone from purchasing trophies it is requested that Coaches and Managers refrain from doing this. Aside from the hostility it causes between siblings from different teams, it is also a financial burden on some families.
The name Hazelbrook Soccer Club Inc must not appear on any trophy unless it is an official Club trophy
Parents Please Note
Your child’s Coach is not a free babysitting service. If you don’t intend staying for training sessions, please ensure that another adult is willing to be responsible for your child’s welfare in your absence.
What happens to soccer during wet weather?
At training: If it is pouring, or has been leading up to a training session, the grounds may be closed. Check with your Coach at the start of the season to find out what their policy will be on contacting players. Some Coaches do theory during wet weather.
At Home Games: Our home games are only called off (postponed for Under 9’s and above to a later date) if a Club Official or referee has closed the ground or if the Association calls off a complete round. Your Coach or Manager will notify you.
At Away Games: Depending on the location and the individual Club, you may find yourself hearing on the sunniest day in winter, that the opposing team’s ground has been closed. Don’t be surprised, some councils have strict guidelines.
ALWAYS ASSUME YOUR GAME IS ON UNLESS YOUR COACH OR MANAGER NOTIFIES YOU.
