U6, U7 & U8 SMALL SIDED GAMES
This year in the Nepean district children in the U5, U6, U7 & U8 age group will be playing Small-sided games. This is an exciting initiative which will give kids more involvement in the games and is in line with what is happening overseas. Briefly here are some of the changes:
U5 and U6 games will be 4v4 on a 20m x 30m field, no goalkeepers. 2 x 15 minute halves
U7 will be 5v5 on a 20m x 30m fi eld, with no goalkeepers. 2 x 20 minute halves
U8 will play 7v7 on a 40m x 30m fi eld, with no goalkeepers. 2 x 20 minute halves
ALL games played with approximate 2m x1m pop-up goals
UNDER 9s and above will play full-sized teams and fields, ie 11v11 in 2008.
Once coaches have been appointed in these age groups they will be briefed regarding the changes.
A pdf with more info can be downloaded at

For training dates and locations in these age groups we suggest that you discuss this with the coach on Muster day.
