2009 Registration Days
Once again we are back into Football. How wonderful those free weekends were for us parents and yet how fast they went by! Please use the information below as a guide. There will be handouts and newsletters made available over the next few weeks.
We are geared up for a very exciting year, new stip, new U9 format, over 45 comp being introduced and a Ladies over 30 comp. We have a strong committee who will make themselve known to you during the season.
Remember like you they are parents with other commitments and have volunteered their time to this great community group. Volunteers always required for events, registration, mustering, photos, coaching, managers etc. Please contact Martin Ryan 0448 266 513
Registration John Grego 0433 417 702
We have printed off all last years members details. The forms will be presented by Surname in alphabetical order at the club. All we ask is that you check your details and sign the form. Give it to the registrar who will then take a photo if required. Proceed to payments. We will input your details later. Hopefully this will speed up the process a bit. A mobile number and email address is essential for the club and coaches to communicate with you.
Registration closes on the 15th Feb. So please register on one of the three weekends. We have to present teams to Nepean late Feb. If the teams are full you are at risk of missing out. We will not be allowed to add new teams after February. We can add new players to fill teams from March to June and we can move players between teams in March prior to season. So please do not delay, register in the next three weekends.
Registration will only take place on full payment. There will be no partial payments. We are not in a position to manage this.
New players will need to fill out a form, have a photo taken, provide ID and proof of age.
Photos required for U6, U9, U12, U15 and U18 will be taken at registration free of charge. NB Proof of Age/ID for all new players - Birth Cert or Drivers License.
Fees Sue Arabi, Treasurer 0430 099 201
The fees are pretty much consistent with last year, slight increase. Fees included Nepean registration, insurance, gala day trophies, field levies, some ref fees for juniors and this year as a once off we are including new shorts which will be presented to the coaches/managers when teams are formed.
The best value for teenagers and adults is Student, need to show Student ID if over 17. However students will not get work insurance if injured. So please remember to bring your proof as a student if you are over 17.

Mustering Details Martin Ryan, Club President 0448 266 513
Mustering is the club's way to get a balance of skills and fairness into the teams. We try to accommodate personal requests as best we can but history has shown that this is not always an easy task.
We strive to place the child or young adult in a team where they are comfortable at their skills level and are able to develop and grow as players and people.
Nothing is fixed until the start of the comp in March. Trial games in early March will also be used to study the players. Our success will be happy players who enjoy being part of Football.
Your feedback will be appreciated at:
haveyoursay@hazelbrookhawks.com.
Mixed teams as in male and female on the one team is acceptable in juniors however we had our first girls U10 last year and it was a great success.

So we will discuss with coaches and managers time tables for coaching. Very young children we recommend Friday night so that they can reinforce what they have learnt on Saturday. Priority of reservation will go Premier’s and Adults in the evenings after 7 pm.
Welcome to the Hawk's Nest!
Welcome to Hazelbrook Football Club, Blue Mountains Australia. We look forward to striving for fun and friendship and to build on this success within the community. We encourage all members to become active and supportive in the many areas of team support, fundraising and social functions.

Club History
Historical data shows that the first Soccer Club in the Mid Mountains was established in 1958 by Mr Stan Bignall, a teacher from Katoomba High School. This was known as Hazelbrook Youth Club. He organised two teams of boys for an Under 14 years competition and the children travelled from Katoomba and surrounding areas to play at Gloria Park.
The Hazelbrook Soccer Club grew from this youth Club in the 1970’s and was formed with the view of establishing a family atmosphere with its members. Those views are still prominent today. Hazelbrook was firstly affiliated with the Lithgow District Competition and then changing over in the early 1980’s to the Nepean DSFA.
Our Club was devastated in 1997 when vandals destroyed our Clubhouse. The fire not only took away our Clubhouse it also destroyed all our equipment. With the wonderful support of the local community, business’s and the soccer fraternity we were able to rebuild our “Hawks Nest” to be classified as one of the most picturesque grounds in NSW.
The Hazelbrook Hawks hope to provide the youth of the area with the opportunity and encouragement to play the game of soccer at the highest level possible, fostering the individual character and skills of its members whilst nurturing a community spirit.
